Biography
Giorgos Kakosaios is a Greek singer and songwriter, born on February 19, 2000, in Athens. He is the son of popular laïko artist Giannis Ploutarhos and grew up in a deeply musical environment. From a young age, Giorgos taught himself guitar, studied piano and vocals, and gave his first public performance at age nine. Though he briefly pursued football with Panathinaikos’s youth academy, his passion for music took over.
He began composing songs as a teenager, writing for artists such as Elli Kokkinou and his father. One of his early works, “Δε μου πάει η μοναξιά,” appeared on a platinum-selling album. In 2020, he signed with Panik Records and released several successful singles including “Ψέματα” and “Έρωτας μοιάζει.” He gained wider attention performing alongside his father and Natassa Theodoridou, and won Best Newcomer at the MAD Video Music Awards.
Since then, Giorgos has continued to release charting singles like “Η νύχτα,” “Μοναξιά,” and “Τι να σας πω.” In 2024, he signed with Minos EMI and expanded his audience with international performances, including a 2025 North American tour.
