Giannis Ploutarhos is one of Greece's most prominent modern laïko and pop singers. After moving to Athens from a small rural village as a teenager to pursue music, he achieved his major breakthrough in the late 1990s and went on to release a string of multi-platinum albums throughout the 2000s, including Mikres Fotografies and Den Einai O Erotas... Paidi Tis Logikis. Celebrated for his soulful voice, iconic romantic ballads, and humble public demeanor, he remains a major fixture in Greek popular music with a career spanning over two decades and numerous international tours.
